The Master Educators’ Guild at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences hosts its 2015 symposium on March 18, 2015, at the Livingston Student Center, Rutgers University–New Brunswick. The theme is self-reflection and features two keynote speakers: Gail Jensen, professor and dean at Creighton University, and David Burns, executive director of the National Center for Science and Civic Engagement and founder and principal investigator of Science Education for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities.

Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) host Take the Floor Tonight: Break Free from Pelvic Floor Disorders on November 13 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. in the Arline and Henry Schwartzman Courtyard, RWJUH, New Brunswick. Topics include advice about signs, symptoms, and treatment options for these conditions; demonstrations of quick and easy exercises; tips to strengthen the pelvic floor; and anecdotes from women who have overcome a pelvic floor disorder and regained their quality of life. The Rutgers Climate Institute hosts a symposium on Climate Change and the Tropics: Implication and Adaptation on November 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Cook Student Center, Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Faculty, staff, and postdoctoral researchers, as well as university students are welcome to submit posters related to climate change. Abstract submissions are due November 10.
